Relevance should be a field by which others give explanation to our actions/lives…not how we who live spiritually connected to an un-created God ascribe to give definition to ourselves.
Relevance brings thoughts of carbon copies, each one faded a little more than its original.
One who is completely submerged serving Christ cannot exist in definitions of relevance, but only in that which is not yet known to be a connection between two things (relevant: “bearing upon or connected with the matter in hand”).
I Peter 1:13-20 Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at his coming. As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.” Since you call on a Father who judges each person’s work impartially, live out your time as foreigners here in reverent fear. For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake. Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in God.
When walking in The Spirit-our lives are driven not by what has been created, but rather in the hope of Him who was chosen before creation.
When in harmony with Him, our motives are calculated by the one who is not bound by the decision owned by death.
Our moments are spiritual (despite our greatest efforts to make them tangible and physical). They are spent with Him who has paid through His life-giving blood not with things you and I would by nature give value or worth to.
A sober and alert mind is not relative to created experience, but held together through a discipline only a surrendered life can know.
The Christian life is beyond relevance.
