Socrates/Aristotle said, “follow my teachings”
Buddha says, “Follow my mediations”
Confucius said, “Follow my sayings”
Mohammad said, “Follow my pillars”
Jesus says, “Follow Me”
If you’re not getting “hit” by The Word of God in your reading chances are you are studying it not living it.
If, in fact, the church is the Body of Christ (I Corinthians 12:27) and I am a sanctuary of His Holy Spirit (I Corinthians 3:16) than why would I settle for anything less than “the what” He wants to accomplish through me? Understanding that through Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.
I’m just curious, because it seems as though sometimes we place more value on relevance than we do on accomplishing that which would, by our society’s standards, seem impossible.
